Tie bars are the first thing a maintenance team learns to hate on an older blow molding machine. They limit mould size, block scrap collection and turn a mould change into a two hour job. The MP70D-2 uses a tie-barless clamping system in which force is transferred directly to the middle of the back platen and mirrored forward through alignment rods.
The practical result is that the mould area is open on both sides. Operators slide a mould in from the front, locate it on the positioning holes and clamp, and scrap drops straight into a bin underneath instead of onto the tie bars. On a line running several bottle sizes per week, that difference pays for itself within months.

A: With pre-set mould plates, a two person team completes the change in 30 to 45 minutes including die head adjustment and first article check. The absence of tie bars is the main reason: there is nothing to slide the mould past and no need to remove a platen extension.
Q: Does removing tie bars reduce rigidity?A: Force is closed through the platen structure itself, so deflection at the parting line stays within the tolerance specified for the 430 x 350 mm mould area. We supply deflection figures for a 90 kN load with every machine so buyers can verify the design.
Q: Can the clamping force be reduced for small moulds?A: Yes. Proportional hydraulic control lets the operator set clamp pressure per recipe, so a 10 ml vial mould is not subjected to the same force as a 1L bottle mould. This protects small tooling and extends mould life.
Packaging, Delivery and Quality AssuranceMachines are shipped on a reinforced wooden pallet with the platens blocked to prevent movement, then enclosed in a plywood case. Delivery is 25 to 35 working days after deposit from Ningbo. CE marking, ISO9001:2008 production control, 12 month warranty, English manuals and remote commissioning support are included, with optional on-site installation.
