Automatic Blow Molding Equipment with Auto Deflash for 100L Stackable Drums

A 100 litre drum leaves a lot of flash. On a manual line that means a person standing at the machine with a knife for every cycle, and the quality of the trim depends on how tired that person is at hour ten. The MP100FD carries a pneumatic cutter system that trims flash automatically as the part is ejected.

Consistent trimming matters beyond labour cost. Flash left on the neck or the base interferes with stacking, damages pallets and fails incoming inspection at the customer. Automatic deflashing removes that variability from the process.

A: It removes the main parison flash at the neck and base. Some containers still need a light touch-up at a handle or insert, but on a plain stackable drum the part normally goes straight to palletising.

A: Cutter position and timing are set per recipe. When a new mould is introduced we adjust the blades during the trial and store the setting, so the changeover is a recall rather than a mechanical setup.

A: The station sits inside the guarded enclosure with electromagnetic interlocks. The PLC will not start the cycle with a guard open, and the bypass monitoring prevents an interlock being defeated silently.

Blade assemblies are packed in protective cases inside the crate, and the machine travels in a fumigation-free export wooden case with steel reinforcement, moisture barrier film and VCI rust protection.
