Large containers punish weak clamping. Above 50 litres internal pressure during blow-up pushes hard against the mould parting line, and any deflection shows up as flash that has to be trimmed by hand and a wall that is thinner on one side. The MP100FD answers that with 180 kN of clamping force spread over an 800 x 600 mm platen.
The machine is built around an 80 mm nitrided screw running at 25:1 L/D, which gives 120 to 150 kg/h of HDPE throughput, enough to feed a 100 litre drum parison without starving the accumulator. Platen opening runs 400 to 800 mm, so a deep drum mould and a shallow 20 litre mould both sit comfortably inside the same frame.

A: It is for the mould area this machine accepts. Clamp force requirement scales with the projected area of the part at the parting line; a 100L drum whose parting line stays inside the 800 x 600 mm platen is comfortably covered. We calculate the figure from your drawing before shipment and quote a larger frame if your part needs it.
Q: What wall thickness can the machine hold on a 100L container?A: Typical production runs between 2.5 and 4 mm depending on the top load requirement. The accumulator head plus closed-loop parison control keeps variation across the circumference low, and we section the first sample to show the distribution before the machine is packed.
Q: How long does a 100L drum cycle take?A: Including extrusion, blowing and cooling, a 100 litre HDPE drum usually runs a cycle of 90 to 150 seconds depending on wall thickness and cooling water temperature. We quote the exact figure after a mould trial with your part design.
Packaging, Delivery and Quality AssuranceThe machine ships in a fumigation-free export wooden case with reinforced steel framing, moisture barrier film and VCI anti-rust protection on all machined surfaces. Delivery is 30 to 45 working days after deposit and order confirmation. Each unit is ISO 9001:2015 certified and CE marked, run for 48 hours continuously before dispatch, and covered by a 12 month warranty with remote technical support.
