Proper maintenance of a blow molding machine is essential for ensuring long-term stability, extending service life, and improving production efficiency. Below are detailed maintenance recommendations, categorized into daily, periodic, and long-term maintenance.
Cleaning
Remove plastic residues and oil stains from molds, barrels, and screws after each production run to prevent carbon buildup.
Wipe down the machine surface with a soft cloth to prevent dust from entering electrical or moving parts.
Clean cooling channels (e.g., mold and barrel cooling systems) to avoid clogging from scale deposits.
Lubrication Check
Inspect oil levels in lubrication systems (e.g., guide rails, chains, bearings) and refill or replace lubricants as needed.
Use manufacturer-recommended grease or oil; avoid mixing different types.
Pneumatic & Hydraulic Systems
Check for air leaks in the pneumatic system and ensure stable air pressure (typically 0.6–0.8 MPa).
Monitor hydraulic oil levels and quality; replace or filter oil periodically (recommended every 3–6 months).
Tightening Components
Inspect screws, nuts, and mold fastening bolts for looseness, especially in high-vibration areas.
